From the Senior Pastor

As we enter into 2012, we also prepare to enter into a new season in the church year – Epiphany.  I would submit to you that Epiphany is one of the most under-celebrated and misunderstood seasons of the entire church year…and what a shame!  For me growing up,

I quickly realized that God had given me some good sense and a keen intellect, but I was always the one kid in the group that was a little slower catching on to something new, whether that was school, or play, or current events in the world.  I later learned that I was what many would call an “epiphanic learner.”  In other words, it took some time for reflection and pause before things really began to gel and make sense for me.  I have come to realize, that maybe faith is this way as well.  After just celebrating Christmas and the gift of the incarnation of God with us in Jesus Christ, Epiphany is a time to reflect and pause on what God has not only done, but continues to do for the world.  It is a prime time for us to grow in our faith!  Below are many opportunities that we have purposefully planned out for all of us to grow in our faith this season of Epiphany.  Please take a moment and read through them…at your convenience make a commitment to join with others in our community of faith to grow deeper in God’s love for us.

Blessings of God’s Hope and Joy in Christ Jesus!
