Mission Trip Update
We’re heading into the home stretch of preparations for
The mission trip to Bayou La Batre, Alabama.
• Your Final Payment for the trip is due Sunday
June 20th by 10:00am!!!! Please make arrangements
to have your account up to the $675 mark by that day
because we need to send out payments for vans,
lodging, etc.
• For families that are coming up significantly short of
the $675, the Endowment Board of Bethlehem is
willing to help in a one-time capacity. The funds
available to the Endowment board are limited and
need to be accessed by those in greatest need.
If you are finding yourself in this position, please
talk to Pastor Ivy.
• Starting Wednesday June 9th, we will be having
prep meetings for the trip. These prep meetings
are for those who are going on the trip and will
take place Wednesday June 9, 16, and 23
from 7:00-8:30pm in the Living Room.
Wednesday June 30th, from 7:30am-12:00, we
will be doing the ropes course at Clearwater
Forest camp near Garrison. Please wear long
pants, tennis shoes and sunscreen, plus bring
a water bottle. We need everyone at these
meetings so please make every attempt to be
there!
• Wednesday July 7th at 7:00pm we will have
our Parents/Youth Informational Meeting where
all the details of the trip, including where we are
staying, phone trees, emergency plans, etc will be
shared. Parents and participants are expected to be
at this meeting. If you have any questions, talk to
Pastor Ivy.
Summer Bible Camp is just around the corner!
Luther Crest Bible Camp on beautiful Lake Carlos in
Alexandria will be providing a wide range of fun activities for
kids of all ages this summer. Their theme, “Filled with Joy”
will lead us into exploring all the great things that God has
done! Bethlehem youth are encouraged to attend camp the
week of July 25-30, 2010 in either the Faith Leapers Camp
(grades 4-6) or Witnesses (grades 7-9). We are encouraging
youth who are in 5th grade to consider going to camp as a fun
and foundational step of faith before they start Catechism
next fall. Luther Crest brochures with the registration form can
be found in the kiosk in the Narthex. Financial assistance is
available. Talk to Pastor Ivy if you have any questions.
